Im looking to buy a new computer. I like the $ of the 3000.
Im not sure of the difference in the package of the 3000. I only use this for home use and the internet. sending pictures of family ect ect. I like the least expensive one.
I would like to have some thoughts on it .

The 2400 and 3000 are fine as long as you NEVER intend to play games on it or upgrade it. If you literally never use it for anything but your stated uses, they'll both be fine. The 2400 looks like a better deal between the two (I just got a flier in the mail that had a 2400 configuration for $299 after $50 rebate). Just as a basic office type machine, that's a great deal.
