I have recently noticed a considerable slowing down of my computer. For example, when I used to double click on the My Documents folder on the desktop, its contents would appear on the screen in less than 1 second. Now when I open the My Documents folder, the computer grinds and grinds and about 10 seconds later the contents show up on the screen. It also does this with Outlook Exress, or anything else I want to open. I have recently upgraded MS IE to 5.5. I don't know if this could be the problem. I have also recently installed a HP CD-RW drive. I don't know if this could be the problem either. I have gone to Start/Run/msconfig and chose selective start up and removed the check from all the the programs but it still does not fix my problem. If you have any suggestions for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time!
