NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
Well the problems never end it seems. I turned my computer off two nights ago with no problem. I try to start the system the next day and get the evil blue screen. "NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error". No error code for anything.
So I spend 4 hours on the phone with tech support (and suprise suprise my warranty ended a week ago.) Trying to trouble shoot the problem. All my memory sticks are fine. Video drivers are up to date... (Not off the Dell site because they're unreliable at best.) Every single piece of hardware in the computer is working fine. A full detailed diagnostic run shows no errors what so ever.
The tech decides its my motherboard. So I search the net and find plenty of people with this same problem. 60% or more replaced their motherboard due to Tech Supports recommendation. Majority of those people still get the error. My question is what am I supposed to do now? This issue seems to be everywhere and worse off is there seems to be no solution to the problem which is ridiculous. Has anyone else had this issue and had it resolved somehow? Thank you in advance.
