We just purchased a few optiplex 755 computers and one of them i want to add an additional hard drive and an additional optical drive (dvd burner). i am just wondering if the 300 watt power supply will handle the additional hardware.

- Friend your better off changing it to at least a 500watt power supply, It would be more stable and it will also benifit you if you can find branded power supply cause the voltage output are more stable and you get your moneys worth in terms of warranty and quality. Just a friendly reminder before going out to buy your PS it's better if you bring your casing to see if the screws and new PS would fit your old casing. Hoping for the Best and Happy Computing.

If you're not running a high end video card, you can install as many drives as you have connectors for, and not have to worry about the psu.

Do note that a good 300 watt power supply is probably better than a bad 500 watt, so choose wisely. Stick with known brands and do some research so you can get the one you want and which you know is good.
