Ok, you all seem like a knowledgable bunch of users and MS support hung up on me (friggin' monopolizing jerks!) and I have now happily found this great forum. However, im very worried because i saw a post with a problem similar to mine with no responses...but here goes...
I start up the computer....the dell screen flashes and windows starts booting up...it gets close to finishing then i get the black DOS screen and it says

"Windows Protection Error. Please restart computer..."

Then upon restart I enter safemode, which successfully boots up. Then an informational text box saying that safe mode is designed to fix the problem stopping Windows from starting normally. So....whats the problem??? How do i go about finding out and/or fixing it?? My friend says the drivers are most likely the problem and i should reinstall them and/or Windows 98 again. Thats a pain in the you know...is there an easier fix to this problem??
