I found out that the E6800 available for sale is mostly availablein 45nm from the wolfdale series 9from what the sellers advertise).

In the end, the headache to find a 65nm and the lack of increase in performance do not justify the cost. I'll be better off waiting and getting a more current model.

So, the key specifications that I need to look for is the nm#, which is the socket type, right? the cpu in my machine is the Intel R Core 2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86 GHz, is 65nm, so, do I need to look only for 65nm cpu?.

Okay, is working great, I updated from:

dell xps 410

Intel R Core 2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86 GHz

to

Intel Cpu Core 2 Quad Q6600

Applying the Artic Silver compound was so simple, I was looking on youtube about applying the compound, and it was like the Babel Tower, so,,,,,I went to the Artic Silver 5 compund web site, and they shows how to apply the compound to AMD or Intel CPU'S, because depends where the cores are in the cpu, make sense.

Now, I wonder if someone can give me an specific link for a cpu above 3.0 GHz for this same machine, just wondering, how much wopuld cost.
