I used NVIDIA's tool (included in the latest driver) to overclock. It is not "really" recommended to overclock unless we take the risk or we know what we are doing. Overclocking can caused problem so I (friendly) suggest to not to do it unless you require.

All,If you look on the internet you can find this with the ISO Disk for overclock at each desired speed. Please understand anything you do is "YOUR DOING" as increased speed equals heat and heat equals damage. The 7800 was never released as a desktop product, so it's impossible to say what it's official clock speed would have been. It's not at all the same thing as a 7800GT or GTX (seems closer to a vanilla 6800 if I'm remembering). And remember, you're voiding your warrenty by overclocking, and also risking damage to your hardware even worse than in a desktop system because of the confined spaces in a notebook.636

If you can't figure it out I'm using the Geforce Go7800 GTX Ultra 256mb.My i9300 thinks it an XPS, circler filed the X300 64mbYes; I did think about using the Geforce Go7900 GTX.MBCMDR636

Hi I just noticed your post I have a 9400 also and use DHZer0point video drivers you can get them at http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/zeropoint.htm I run my go 7800 @ 300/750 this seems very stable also take the time to check and monitor your video card temps for some reason dell has set the video fan controls in bios to kick on when you card hits 80C =176 degrees :( this is about 25 degrees to hot i think any i use a software utility called I8kfanGUI you can download that at http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html
ps your video card temp will show up in the new driver youll see it

My auto nVidia detection has set my Go7800 to a lower clock than that. Im afraid to try it. I'm seeing tearing in Oblivion already at this rate. I've also lowered it by 10MHz for each already.

I tried to do the above earlier today. Using the NVIDIA optimization or detection for optimal frequencies.
The default speed I have is 250 / 650
NVIDIA changed it to 352 / 858
So far I have no problem with the changes. I guess I need a drink before I'll go and move it up to higher :D
