I have a e1705 that has no hard drive.  I start it up and like other laptops the fans do not turn on right away and I leave it on for a long time and the fans still don't turn on.  When I look in the bios it says there is no battery installed and there is.  When there is no ram in it the first three lights from left to right light up and the 2nd and 3rd lights will blink on and off 45 times and then it will turn off.  Can anyone see the problem with this laptop?  Could the computer just not be getting hot enough to turn the fans on unless I am in windows?  Please help I need to figure out the problem.  I am able to tear apart this laptop if you want me to remove the processor and see if the board will beep(I have heard that the motherboard should beep twice if nothing is installed on the motherboard but I haven' tried yet).
