first remove all files of dell dock currently on your pc

then download dell dock from

http://www.delldock.com/download_options.aspx

ADEEN-S I`ve done it twice - same result...

since you had a hdd failure i think you already dont have much important files on your pc . You should then reinstall windows and then check for missing or invalid registries through registry booster or ccleaner. Then try installing the dell dock again.
