I have an unusual problem that I have not seen duplicated on your forum.

 

I have had my laptop for a year now.  The other day I was playing a game when my battery went out on my and it went into hybernation mode.  When I plugged in the adapter and started it up again it came up with this warning:

 

WARNING:  The batter cannot be identified.  This system will be unable to charge this battery.

 

Press any Key to Continue

 

Press 2 times to enter SETUP

Press and Any Key to enter Boot Menu

 

Here's the kicker:  My battery still charges and lasts for about an hour and a half or so.  I don't think there is really a problem other than the fact that this warning comes up everytime I boot up.  I have tried everything I know to do.  (i.e. go through all the scans at the boot menu, go through setup, take out the battery and put it back in, boot it up with the battery out an just on ac power, etc.)

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

 

p.s. I am running windows xp

 

(It does seem like serveral others have had issues with their batteries conveniently within a couple of weeks of the warranty expiring like me)
