I recently purchased a new 17-inch Inspiron and cannot open map sectors on this National Weather Service information web page:

When clicking on a State it either replies "Please go BACK to the United States map and select a valid geographic region.", or displays an incorrect State.  This problem is specific only when using my new Dell.  I have same problem when trying to link with a similar map from the USGS.

 

I have tried changing all the screen resolution settings as well as trying a separate wireless mouse rather then the touch pad.  The Dell came pre-loaded with Symantec Internet Security.

 

Any ideas for a fix?  Thanks!
