Post Your Powerstrip (Calibration) Settings

Dear Dell Users,

Please post your LCD calibrated Powerstrip Color settings here.

So, everyone can benefit from the best display calibration for DELL Laptops.

Post your Gamma, Contrast, Brightness, Temperature, LCD Display, DELL model, etc for further clarification :)

As of now, my personal settings are no way near up to par, I have a Inspiron 6000 with Matte (Non-Gloss Display - does anyone have any settings for this?):

But, I found these for XPS2:

Color Reproduction. There are two different manufacturers for the WUXGA TrueLife screen on the XPS2 -- LG and Samsung. My laptop came with the LG, which at default color settings has a very noticeable blue cast. To fix this, I downloaded Entech's PowerStrip, and plugged the following settings into the Color Profiles dialog (credit goes to Hazridi at NotebookForums.com):

  • Choose Graphics Arts 2.2 Nonlinear Gamma Ramp.
  • Make sure you have all three colors selected and choose 0.98 Gamma, 0% Brightness and Contrast, and 6200k Temperature.
  • Now switch to green and move the Brightness up to 25%, and then the Contrast to 40%.
  • Now switch to blue and change the Gamma down a tiny bit to 0.94, then move the Contrast up to 30%.

For those that know and have calibrated their DELL Laptop with Powerstrip, please contribute!

:)

Thanks
