Dear forum people,

 

When I run HL2, it won't go past the load screen at the very beginning (the blurry screen). I updated my video drivers and stuff (to Omega Drivers, since the official drivers are a year and a half old), it still doesn't go past the loading screen. The hard drive seems to be working, but I waited for 10 mins to no avail.

 

I have no idea what the problem is at this point, and I paid for the game and want to play.

 

Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

 

P.S. The computer also has difficulty recovering RAM after I quit memory-heavy applications such as games. Takes more than a full minute to recover fully.
