What virus program and firewall are you using?

What do you see when you to...

Start, control panel, network and sharing center. Is there any connections listed there? Can you provide a screenshot of this area?

Manage wireless networks, remove all the wireless networks listed there.

 The antivirus im using is ESET NOD32 v. 7.0.302.26,
As for the firewall,i really doesn't know the version,can't find it anywhere.

I see you have 2 networks listed.

Start, control panel, network and sharing center, change adapter settings, right click on local connection, left click properties, left click sharing. Uncheck the box, allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet Connection

Since I still don't see the wireless adapter you have, try this...

Download the following drivers and save them to your desktop.

***SPECIAL NOTE*** THE ADAPTERS LISTED BELOW WILL ONLY CONNECT ON 2.4GHz ONLY

Dell Wireless 1704 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Driver

Dell Wireless 1705 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Driver

After you save the drivers to your desktop, make a system restore point.

Start, control panel, device manager, network adapters, right click on your wireless adapter (It will be either Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHZ) or Dell Wireless 1704 WLAN Half Mini-Card), left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the software and drivers.

Restart your computer. When you login, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter but fail. Install the drivers for the wireless adapter you removed.

The 1705 wi-fi driver can't be installed,it says it doesn't fit my current platform(although i have win 7 64-bit)

Also,i don't have a wireless card in my network devices,but i do have an unknown device in my other devices.

If installing the drivers in the correct order and removing the adapter, using the instructions above, I would suggest that DELL-Shrikanth G assist you with your system.

It sounds like the drivers will not install.

Hey Rick,

I sent a message to DELL-Shrikanth over 5 days ago,still no reply.
My wi-fi problem remains unsolved,and i really need to get it on until the beginning  of summer.
Any suggestions?
