P2311H with MacBook

I really like my P2311H when I use it with the standard VGA connection to my Dell Latitude E5510.  The image is sharp and the colors are accurate.  When I connect the monitor to my MacBook through the Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter, however, the image is not as sharp, the colors are inaccurate and the image sometimes "vibrates".  I've tried using the Apple Display Calibrator Assistant, but I can't configure an image to be as good as with my Dell-to-Dell setup.  Are there any recommended calibration settings for this monitor?  Would I be better off using the DVI cable and Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter?  Thanks for your help.

I wish I could help but we only validate the standard Mini-DP to DP adapter on Windows PCs. We do not test the apple mini-DP to DVI adapter nor do we test Dell monitors with apple platforms. We do not have any apple product in our labs. You should check the apple Discussions Forum for help from other apple users with our products.
