Automatic Updates

It keeps coming up that my Auto Updates are not on, Ive tried to change them back to being on, but its not doing it.

 

HELP!!

    If you mean the automatic update feature with the wireless router, we have found that it doesn't always update the firmware and you have to do this manually.

    I assume you're referring to 'Auto Updating' option feature of Windows Update?

    It shouldn't matter, but what OS are you using? 

    Whether XP or Vista, I always have mine set just to advise me when updates are available, and I don't get reminders that "auto updates are not on"?

     

    You're setting the auto-update option in Control Panel/Security Center I take it?

    pingram,

     

    Did you try going to Windows Updates and see if you can update your computer there?

     

    Try this and see if it helps cure your problem.

     

    Windows Updates fail to install

     

    Sometimes the first time you visit Microsofts website, you have to wait about 2 minutes for it to see you don't have the ActiveX it needs to install the updates. Please be patient.
