Have you extracted the INF files from the chipset driver? Using Intel's chipset driver?

Extract with the following parameter:

setup.exe -a -p c:\inf

or

infinst.exe -a -a -p c:\inf

if you haven't extracted the setup.exe file from the infinst.exe compressed file.

When the setuo runs, just click next and the files with extracted INF files is available in c:\inf

Thanks for the info...the chipset update now works using RIS.  I was able to extract setup.exe into the temp location and then copy those .cat files and .inf files into my $OEM$\$1\drivers\360\chipset folder.  After some trial and error, I was able to get the correct files.  I first added all the .cat files for the chipset download from Dell.  I then expanded setup.exe, which actually gave me several folders (ie. ich, ich2, ich2-m...ICH5) and with those folder were sub-folders labeled, Win2k, Win98se, WinMe, WinXP.  All but one folder had a WinXP sub-folder.   Since I didn't know which folder to use other than WinXP, I copied over the additional .cat and .inf files from each WinXP folder and then attempted to RIS the system.  I'd check the device manager and see if cleared the error.  After 4 or 5 tries, I got the right folder.  Sorry, not sure which one though.  While copying files into my chipset folder, I did notice many times I was most likely writting over the indentical files.  I seem to be adding additional files though.  There are a couple of readme docs within the extracted folder, but not on the differences between the various WinXP .inf/.cat files.  One file is a log file and the other is good information about the RIS chipset update.  The OS folders also contain sample answer files with the chipset update.
