Help me finding the right wireless

I have I6000 and loving it! :)  I have cable modem (high speed internet).  I am tired of being stuck on laptop with the cord all the time now.  I already bought the linksy's for router but it not working right.  I feel like I am missing something.  Some people told me that I need to buy wireless card.  I dont know if they are right OR wrong. :)  I need your help about me buying the wireless card.  If I do, can it work with linksys?  That I can carry my laptop anywhere WITHOUT the cord.  Thanks

it will give u a run down of your system info and tell u about your enitre computer. it will tell u if u have a wireless card and all your components. will take a while to load all your info but its a good tool to have

linksys will work great. u need to see if your laptop has a card in it already or buy a linksys pcmcia card that slides in the side of the laptop. to see if u have a card inside the laptop do the following. hit your ctrl button and f2. if a icon pops up near the clock like a clock tower its should activate the card. Otherwise go into control panel under wireless connections and see if u have a card there.

I am AIM, capiver26.  I  added you on my buddylist but you were not there.  I am on system information about my laptop.  It said CARD (CIRCUIT), NETWORK, MINI PCI CARD, 2200LF, NOT APPLICABLE.  What's that means?
