Try downloading and installing the following driver:

Thanks for answering my post. I installed that driver you provided a link for and I downloaded and installed it. It seemed to install ok but the network card is still not showing up in device manager or Belaric Advisor. The driver shows up in ADD and Remove Programs so it seems to have installed. It Installed into C:\ Dell \Drivers\R132254. If you have any more ideas I would be glad to hear tham

If you open Device Manager, are there any other devices that show up as "Problem Devices"?

No their is no listing for Problem Devices.

You might try installing the chipset drivers for that machine, then try reinstalling the network drivers.

I just got through downloading the chipset driver while I was waiting I happened to look at C:\Dell\ Drivers\ and the only thing in their was the network driver I had installed before. The Broadcom Driver you suggested before.

Anyways is that normal for that Driver folder to not exist before I installed that Broadcom network driver. The Dell folder existed but with just an .ico file, an HTML file for Dell Support and a Thumbs.db file.

 I was just curious. I am going to install the chipset driver.

OK I installed the chipset driver and the reinstalled the Broadcom driver. The Chipset driver installed (I made it through the wizard completely) I then Deleted the Broadcom Driver you suggested I originally install and Tried to reinstall from the same CD I orginally installed driver from. It unzipped into C:\Dell\ Drivers\R132254.exe; after it unzipped I got an Install Shield Wizard, where it said you can Modify, Repair, or Remove Broadcom Gigabit Integrated Controller. I clicked Next and I get the Remove the Program: Click Remove to remove Broadcom Integrated Controller. After removal, this program will no longer be available for use. Click back if you want to change any settings. But clicking back just gets the first window. Like its missing a step in the Wizard. I even tried opening the file and clicking on the Setup.exe but I get the same thing. I forgot this happened the first time I tried to install this driver a few days ago. 

    I do have Broadcom Advaned Control Suite 2 on my Start\ all Programs menu, but the only thing it shows is the 1394 net adapter.

    Should I try another driver or try downloading that original driver again. I copy that to a CD then install from CD to my WS370 ?

The Dell\drivers file only contains driver installation files.  The actual drivers end up in one of the Windows folders after they are installed.   So the Dell\drivers file does not tell you anything.   What you see in Add/Remove Programs is just the Dell Broadcom Control Suite Utilty, again not the drivers.    Just remove the Broadcom Utility then try running the driver installation file in the Dell\Drivers folder again and see if it installs the drivers with the chipset now present.

I uninstalled the Broadcom Utility and Then ran the Setup.exe in the Dell\ Drivers folder and was able to install the Broadcom Gigabit Integrated Controller. It still does not show up in Device Manager. I shut down the computer and restarted and it does not show up in Device Manager. The Broadcom Driver shows up in the Add and Remove Programs list.

TaDa, I got it Volcano. I went into the Bios and the  NIC controller was turned off. I turned it on and booted up checked Device Manager and Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller is listed under Network Adapters. The Default setting is supposed to be ON so I don't know why it was shut off.

     I do have another question tho. My bios is A02 and Dell Downloads shows a A08, Are Bios upgrades or Flashing,  cummulative like Service packs or do they have to be installed in order ? Like after A02, you install A03, then A04, etc.... ?

 Any ways I am on my home network and connected to the internet on my WS370, Yea Baby!!!
