We just replace the OEM seagate HDD by an WD, it all sync okay but the status lights are always on and blink on activity instead to be off and blink on activity.
Any idea if the setup is okay ?
I have to replace a second drive on the set (RAID5) so I want to make sure all is up.
On the Dell Manager it display the drive is okay, no error, and the sync is done.
What does Open Manage show for the Perc controllers driver and firmware versions? Also, what version of Open Manage are you using and in what OS? The replacement should be fine. If the controller is out of date you may want to update it before rebuilding the next drive. Let me know what you see.
