I have (4) 1 TB SATA drives setup in a RAID 5 array. Heard a drive fail and system blue screened. Restarted system and Perc configuration utility showed drive 00 failed, drive 01 missing (foreign config) and drives 02 and 03 online.

I don't understand how the second drive (01) could be missing unless this had previously failed (?) and I have been running on only 00,02,03.

What can I do with the 01 foreign drive? I replaced failed drive 00 with a new used drive but have no options to try to rebuild or try to restore the array. Is there any possibility to restore the array? Should I try to clear the foreign config on the 01 drive?

Any help / suggestions appreciated.
