I am trying to upgrade a Dell Computer that has no optical drive to have one. to mount the drive, I need a bracket that's not in the case.
The computer is a Precision 3630 Tower. I called support and they can't seem to find the model number. They said it wasn't included because an optical drive wasn't ordered, but i'm just trying to put one in now and they can't seem to find a part number for me to order a little bracket... Any help on where I can get one?

I had this exact same problem. It took me contacting multiple technicians and chat representatives but I finally got the part number. The part number for the "Optical Drive Bracket" is C8HP4 (note is also comes with the drive door, likely why the sales reps had such trouble finding the part). And the part number for the "M2x2.5 Screw" is P142N. I had trouble finding these part numbers in a search on Dell's site so I asked the sales rep to make me a custom quote, which they did and I was able to order them. Hope this helps someone else who runs into this same issue.
I am looking for the same item, that metal plate and the screw. I just got a 3040sff optical drive for free (same faceplate and dimensions if I am correct, that one with the blue plastic removable handle ) that I want to install in the second hand 3060 I just bought. What are my options here in France ? Should I call the french support for inquiries ? I assume the informations you provided should help them .. and me.
@CHENGZHI Thanks, I am lucky, I found in my country a seller selling really cheap the faceplate, the bracket and the screw for 12 USD or so (was in euros currency actually). Thanks for the link you provided. It seems the item is still available.
