UPGRADING A NVIDIA T1000 GPU TO DELL PRECISION 3460 WORKSTATION

HI TEAM DELL,

THIS IS TO KNOW THAT I AM PLANNING TO UPGRADE A NVIDIA T1000 8GB GRAPHICS CARD TO MY DELL PRECISION 3460 WITH 300 WATTS SMPS. THE GRAPHICS CARD IS NOT PURCHASED FROM DELL. WE ARE PURCHSING THE GRAPHICS CARD DIRECTLY FROM NVIDIA.

BY INSTALLING THE NVIDIA SUPPLIED GRAPHICS CARD TO A DELL PRECISION 3460 WORKSTATION, WILL IT VOID THE EXISTING DELL WARRANTY ON THE WHOLE WORKSTATION.

From similar inquiry before, adding third party components will not void the system warranty.  However, the component itself and any damage or issue caused by the upgrade will not be covered.  Depending on case by case, Dell support will determine if the issue was a factory defect or is causing by third party components.
