I recently purchased a Dell 2335dn MFP, ran the reports from the printer and they came out fine. I downloaded the installation disk provided and the printer seems to end up Offline. I reinstalled the information and it lasted for about a day and then it became Offline again. I use a local network via a Netgear wireless modem. My computer recognizes the printer, but once again it ends up Offline within a day.
Are there other systems on your network that CAN print?
You indicate OFFline.... WHERE are you observing this? The Printer LCD panel or the printer/faxes control panel?
Did you get a CD shipped with the 2335dn? (it should have been inside the document bag; I'm wondering why you had to download anything for a new printer)
I am experiencing the same problem. Turning the printer off then back on resolves the issue but then at some point it will go offline again. Did you resolve this?
My Dell 2335dn printer is now permanently offline. I have had it working for several years, and sometimes it would go offline and I could turn it off and back on and then it would be on-line again. However, now nothing does the trick. Windows troubelshooting tells me to turn on the printer. Ha! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My online access to my supposed 'wireless' printer worked for about a week then just stopped working. I've tried everything, still can't get it to work wirelessly
The first thing to do is verify that the printer is connected to your wireless network. You can do this by printing a settings page and getting and IP address off the printer. Once you have that, you can type that address into an internet explorer address bar and it should bring up a page. You can also try pinging the printer. If you can verify that it pings and the page comes up then it is just an issue with the port in the print queue. Most likely we can fix that by either right clicking the printer and hitting "see what is printing" then clicking file and turning it to use online. The other solution would be to open the printer properties and go to the ports tab. Then, press configure ports and disable the snmp check box. If it does not come up then it is not communicating with the wireless router and you will have to redo the setup.

Can you provide some additional info, please?
What is the O/S?
Did it ever work correctly (not go "offline")?
