I have exhausted everything I can think of to get this older printer to communicate with this new laptop.

OS is Win 8 64 bit

I have run the "My Dell" DIagnostics on the laptop and it said printer was fine even gave me the s/n for printer.

It first installed fine when I first got laptop, then windows update fd it up!!!!!:emotion-12:

I tried USB connection, Ethernet Connection, Open driver install.....

I have downloaded all updates of drivers scanner is working but not printer, go figure!:emotion-9:

Somebody with some knowledge or can point me to the place of help, please respond to this post.
