Know that I am a complete novice.  I'm doing my first backup (stupid to wait so long, I know) before I install the XP Service Pack 2 (also waited too long.)  I have a Dimension 4400, XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 1, 24x/10x/40x CD-RW Drive.  I bought both Memorex CD-R and CD-RW CDs.  From searching around the MS web site, I understand from my XP CD I have to install NTBackup but then I have to find something called Nero's INCD which is a UDF packet tool (whatever that is) so I can use it to format the CD, otherwise NTBackup won't write to a CD.  But then I read that it's not a solution because I won't be able to span the backup across multiple CDs.  It will take me forever to have to go file by file copying to the CD everytime I want to do a backup.  The PC is setup that each member of the family has that "Documents" folder so I would like to be able to just copy each person's documents folder and capture all files, address books and favorites at once onto the CD.  BTW I have been fumbling around unsuccessfully (before I read about NTBackup), copied one user's files and now it tells me I can't erase the CD because it's read only and I used a CD-RW CD so I know I'm headed for disaster and have no clue.  So, here are my questions that I would SO MUCH appreciate help with:  (1)  Should I use CD-RW or CD-R CDs?  (2)  Will NTBackup work with the Nero product so  I can write to a CD and ACTUALLY USE THE BACKUP IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN I INSTALL THE SERVICE PACK but what about spanning multiple CDs?  Thank you thank you thank you.
