I've tried using SandraSoft to monitor environment temperatures inside my Dell 4700. The software states that no monitoring devices are found. From checking the Intel web-site, it appears that this motherboard should have them. Are the devices for monitoring temperatures missing from this model?

 

I used Speedfan to see if it would work, but it only gives me data on the hard drive temperature, which is 58C. From what I've read, this is a bit high. Can someone advise me on this? I'm planning on upgrading the video card from the X300 to a Geforce 6800GS, and adding another two 512 sticks of RAM. I would like to be able to monitor the temps, if any way possible. And if I need to install a hard drive fan, could you please recommend a model that is compatible with this machine. Thanks

 

Edited: Sorry, I should have mentioned that the hard drive is a Maxtor 6Y080M0 (80GB)
