Hello, when I leave my computer Idle say overnight or while im at class, when i return home and turn on my monitor, there is a black screen saying it does not recognize hard drive 0 and asks if I want to format or retry. When i retry, it says the exact same thing but if i power off and then turn it back on, windows loads and it works perfectly. If i am working on the computer all day, however, there is no problem. It only occurs when i leave my pc on and am not using it.

The hard drive i have in now is a new one i just installed from Maxtor about 2-3 months ago and up until 1-2 weeks ago, i havent been getting the problem.

I dont really know what the problem is, whether maybe a loose cable on the inside or something - If you have any idea why it would only do this when i was away, please let me know. Or if this is not the correct forum, please let me know what would be the right ones.
