Support assistant silent update
Assuming PCs = desktops & laptops
Whilst copying very many files from external hard drive to my laptop , the whole thing ground to a halt so i terminated the copy.
After a while i discovered that my machine ground to a halt because the Support Assistant has been updated without removing the old version.
The old version sat in its own place under s. But the latest version was placed under dell.
Question1 : When these updates take place should not the old version be removed.
Question2: Is it possible for me to exercise some control over when this happens and get some warning because at the time i was very very angry thinking it the start of a major problem.
Any help/advice welcome.
