Something's wrong. Hijackthis logfile attached.

I've been having a lot of computer troubles for a long time, but just recently they started getting pretty bad. Popup ads override my popup blocker (although regular popups like javascript windows and other harmless things still get zapped by it). My LavaSoft Ad-Aware program closes itself before it gets to start, and I have been speculating that it's because of malware. That is one of the things that concerns me the most. Also, one last issue that may seem trivial to some; occasionally, while playing games online (especially first person shooters) my mouse randomly spazzes and will cause me to look in a random direction, usually straight up. Occasionally it will just move so that I'm looking in a different direction, and I've even had a case where it kept turning all on it's own. I am positive this is not a hardware or software malfunction, as I have never had this problem in the past.

With that said, here is my logfile:

    Welcome to DCF

    Thats quite a collection of malware you have there. It will take a couple of runs at this to completely remove this infection, so please be patient

    1. Please  click here to download the PeperFix tool, save it to your Desktop, doubleclick on it, click ' Find and Fix' and reboot if prompted.

    2.
    1. Download this file - combofix.exe
    2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

    Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

    You may have to post the results in more than one reply

    This might not be totally accurate as I accidentally closed the first logfile and had to run Combofix again for another log. Not sure. Thank you, by the way, for the welcome. I really appreciate the help. (Some of it has been changed because of invalid or malformed HTML tags.. that's just what the forum told me.)

    1, Open Notepad (Not Wordpad)
    Copy and paste the following into notepad
    (Making sure there is no space between the top of the window and the first line)

    REGEDIT4

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run]
    "2LRX2W83X2T3MQ"=-
    "3JC1G"=-
    "Howard Chang"=-
    "Gary Chang"=-
    "Administrator"=-
    "JediHJC"=-
    "User"=-
    "w0e2cdd1.dll"=-

    After you copy and paste it your cursor should be at the end of the first line
    Hit Enter so your cursor is under the last line
    • Click File->> Save as->>type in fix.reg->>
      Under " Save as type" Select " All Files"->> save it to your Desktop
      Close Notepad

    The fix.reg file should now appear on your Desktop

    Rt Click and Select Merge ->>You will be prompted do you want to merge this Select Yes (it will appear that nothing has happened but that's o.k.)

    2. We need to make sure we can see hidden files and folders

    To enable the viewing of Hidden and System files follow these steps:
    • Right click on Start and select Explore.
      Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
      After the new window appears select the View tab.
      Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
      Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
      Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
      Click Yes To confirm
      Press the Apply button and then the OK button.
    3. Using Windows Explorer
    • (Right click on "Start," select "Explore," and you will see the "tree' of file folders in the left side of the window. Click on the "+" next to any folder name to expand its contents)
    Locate and Delete the following files
    • C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\fvbdjfv.exe
      C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\waocpw.exe
      C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\fmkwk.dll
      C:\WINDOWS\rpcit.dll
      C:\WINDOWS\System32\UhjPh.exe
      C:\documents and settings\howard chang\local settings\temp\3JC1G.exe
    Close windows explorer->>Reboot your PC->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh log

    Sorry for the delay, I was out on vacation with my family.

    In any case, I created the fix.reg and added it to the registry, but can't seem to locate any of the files you mentioned, even after choosing to show file extensions and show hidden files/folders, etc.

    No problem for the delay, vacation is important. I expected the files to be gone, but I didn't want to take it for granted.

    Could I see a fresh Hijackthis log and an update on how your PC is running.

    My PC is running alright, although I feel as though I've been getting more popups lately than before (although that might be just my imagination). I have not yet had a chance to test the first-person shooter mouse problem that I was experiencing before, but as of this moment the most notable difference in my computer's performance is that my Yahoo! Messenger shuts down immediately after it starts up, in much the same manner as my Ad-Aware program does. It never used to do this before. Everything else appears to be working normally.

    It might also be worthy to note that the user Howard Chang does not exist on this computer anymore, as I deleted the user account because I was having problems with it. Documents and Settings\Howard Chang\ still exists, but the only folder in there is "Start Menu", which contains an empty folder labeled "Programs". Just thought I should let you know. Anyways, here is a fresh Hijackthis logfile.

    We still have some work to do

    Please download Qoofix by RubbeR DuckY from one of the following locations:

      http://www.malwarebytes.org/Qoofix.zip or
      http://www.besttechie.net/tools/Qoofix.zip

    • Unzip all files to a convenient location such as C:\Qoofix.
    • Go to the folder you unzipped all files and run Qoofix.exe.
    • Click Begin Removal and wait for the scan to finish.
    • If an infection has been found, select yes to restart your computer.

    Finally post a fresh Hijackthis log and the contents of the Qoofix logfile.

    You have a file on your PC I'm a little suspicious of

    1. Please upload this file to Jotti's Online Virus Scan

    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\PID41IER.exe

    • Click " Browse" at the top of the page
      - Navigate to (Locate)

      • C:\WINDOWS\system32\PID41IER.exe

      - Click " Open" Then the "Submit" and let the scan finish
      - Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the results
      - Copy/paste the results in your next reply.
    2. Rerun Hijackthis and place checks beside the following entries
    • O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file)
      O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000000-0000-435F-901C-A0F6D38984C2} - C:\Program Files\w9fi58wk\w9fi58wk.dll
      O2 - BHO: (no name) - {19D53CE8-7D08-34F7-A6E5-11EB6A512A41} - C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.dll
      O3 - Toolbar: Search - {8D7B95DA-A237-94B5-2B88-B27C5CF70320} - C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.dll
      O16 - DPF: {4AD73894-A895-4FC2-B233-299867E08753} - http://apps.deskwizz.com/ax/adwerkz.cab
      O16 - DPF: {9AC54695-69A4-46F1-BE10-10C74F9520D5} - http://cabs.elitemediagroup.net/cabs/mediaview.cab
      O16 - DPF: {B4831DED-3A57-4CC6-9E4B-0E7C5B08DBF4} - http://www.alwaysupdatednews.com/install/aun_0015.exe
    Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select " Fix checked" and close Hijackthis

    3. Using windows explorer
    Locate and delete the following folder
    • C:\Program Files\w9fi58wk
    Locate and delte the following file
    • C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.dll
    Close windows explorer->>Reboot your PC->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh log

    And the results of the Jotti online scan

    A few quick things:

    I was unable to find C:\WINDOWS\system32\PID41IER.exe to submit it to the online malware scan as you recommended. I have hidden and system files/folders showing and was still unable to locate it.

    Now about deleting C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.dll
    That file is not there, although there is C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.ini

    Should I delete the .ini file, or leave it? I haven't done anything yet because I didn't want to do something wrong.

    Everything else you told me to do went by smoothly. If, in case, I don't need to delete C:\WINDOWS\xfwufenj.ini, then here is a fresh HijackThis log to save time.
