Yes, since you are deleting the replication session for resizing the file system - you would need to start the replication all over again when you restart it. I am not aware of any roadmap information in this regard, you should contact your EMC rep for roadmap/futures information.
I am having th esame issue with but with NFS, I ma waiting for EMc support to get back in touch to confirm but they have told me that you can not do it wihtout deleting the destinatin replication and starting again.
Thanks. So a full re-sync is required. Can you tell us if their is anything on the road map to allow for resizing of replicated volumes without having to perform a full sync again?
There have been several requests for this feature and we are tracking it for a future release. At this time there is no commitment to when we can deliver resizing a replicated volume
