Is there a simple way to use sas drives in a regular pc?

I have been putting these in my t310 and t105 test servers but still have several left over. 

My thinking is to install linux/truenas/proxmox onto either vostro or my custom build. Probably 4x2tb sas drives in raid 0 initially.

I know sas wont work in a sata controller (tried) .

Is there a generic raid controller which isnt poweredge specific?

I would be really interested to know if this has worked for anybody please.
