Vostro 260 freezes when loading OS from HD, CD or Bootable USB
Hi all,
My Vostro 260 freezes when loading OS from HD, DVD or bootable USB.
Win7 stops on Initializing Windows screen when i select Start Windows normally and stops on "windows is loading files" when Win recovery option is selected, even when I user Win restoration DVD.
Same occurs when using a Ubuntu bootable USB.
Dell diagnostics loads, but also freezes when starting memory test and system test.
Any clue?

Maybe would be better if you post your question in our english forum: http://en.community.dell.com/
You could also try to remove this module and insert it on the slot next to it, to check if it is going to have the same behaviour.
Do you have any known good memory we could test on the system?
The diagnostics sounds like a good place to test this memory or another memory stick.
