Blue screen STOP 0x0000007B

I have a Inspiron 6400/E1505 laptop.  It has turned into my sons while I am working thus I am not sure if this is virus related.  On Start up I am getting a message that there was a problem with windows, if this is the first time getting the message then restart.  I restarted and getting the same message.  There are options to start normally in safe mode etc but every option selected results in a blue screen after the bar at the bottom of the screen finishes.
The blue screen is a stop 0x0000007B (0xF7a34524, Oxc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I tried to F12 into a utility to check and the utility tested ok.
I do not have the original XP CD to try a XP repair.  ( I have ordered the XP CD from Dell)
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

There are many possible causes for this error (see this Google search). You may find something in these that will help, otherwise I'd wait for your XP CD and do the repair install.
