Bluetooth Drivers doesnt install
I have a Dell latitude D620 and every time in installed the Bluetooth drivers it hags (i get a blue screen Of death) and then the computer restarts. I have tried this many time with the same outcome. this happens when it adding the profiles to it. it hag about 97% complete. it seem like something doesn't allow it to finish. i don't know if this bluetooth device is defective, but before installed vista it was working find. i have tried it with my Bluetooth headphone and it seem to work with a lot of static. After i turn the headphones off it still say is connected to it. and nothing come out of the build in speaker or the headphone jack on the side other problem i get is when i disable the buetooth the icon says in the tray and the light goes off. now when ever i want to turn it back on the turn on bluetooth option goes away and the only way for me to get it back is to try to reinstall the drivers which give me the same outcome (DSOD). I called dell about this but they just told me to turn it off but now i need to use it so if anyone has a fix for this please let me know. this is the Dell Bluetooth 350
- forgot to mention that before the drivers install there is a little program the updates the Firmware on the device and it does it all the time (it automatic) before the driver get installed. when you press setup it just looks for the device and does it.
- Dell already updated there drivers. but what i think they did was just take the XP drivers and do what you just told me to do (use the compatible Utility)I used this drivers http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R142181&SystemID=LATITUDE%20D620&os=WLH&osl=en&deviceid=7388&devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=189724 And when i install this drivers i get the problem. i went to make a fake order and i see the under the bluetooth part of the order it seems like they have one for vista. so I'm going to see if i can get one of this device's. just so you know if you look at all the drivers version they all say Rev0.0. like i said i thinks they just did a quick fix and made all there XP drivers compatible to Vista for a quick fix. P.S. please if you reply don't say OK after every sentence it makes it sound like you are screaming at me. by the way i work in the IT field and i tried your suggestion but it just doesn't want to work. after checking there site and i went to make a fake order i see they have two different Bluetooth device now I'm really starting to think that this is just wont work with it. well if you have any more suggestion please let me know. I have about 5 clients that wont listen to me about not jumping on to vista so this is the reason why i have it installed on my machine so i can support them.
