John, mine is a 4100 just like yours.  In Feb, it will be four years old and my first computer.  Only have added some memory and, recently, a firewire card.  But, that isn't getting me any closer to doing what I want to get into.  Video capture and editing.  The thing just can't handle much of it. 

 

I think the thing to do is keep the 'ol Dimension around and build a badboy, myself, that can handle the video stuff.  Never thought I'd own two computers.  But, that's what's fixin' to happen.
