I've been trying to clean up my folders a little lately.  There's one folder that I have under Documents and Settings in which the user doesn't exist anymore.  But for some reason I can't delete it.  It gives me the basic "Program might be running or file is write-protected."  I've tried killing all unneccessary programs, but it doesn't seem to help.  I ran a chkdsk and disk cleanup.  I've done virus and spyware checking.  I showed the system files and deleted all desktop.ini and thumbs.db files in the parent folders. I've done all I can think (all I can think anymore is hack my ntfs with linux and get to it that way, but I don't know how to do that either). 

 

The folder is "User/Application Data/GTek/GTUpdate/AUpdate/Ch4/." 

 

Ch4 is the folder that is having trouble.  I can't make it un-hidden.  I can't even open the folder to look in it.  I think GTek came with my computer, but I'm not quite sure anymore...it's been a while. 

 

Does anyone know how to access an inaccessible folder and wipe out anything in there?  It seems that something is corrupted.  What is this particular folder used for?  What programs are assocciated with it so I can terminate them and delete the folder that way if that's the case??

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

VirusScanning used - Adaware, spybot s/d, avast.  My McAfee ran out and I didn't want to spend $60 I didn't have.
