               If you look at my system specs you will see my XPS400 was Vista ready ,had VIIV technology (Iam not even sure what VIIV is?) My originial installation of WindowsXP in My Computer of the general tab listed it as WinXP Pro x64  Service Pack 2 MCE ver2002 , the CD's Dell sent me with PC say it re-installs MCE 2005 ,what Iam suppose to have ,however perhaps with the VIIV tech. and Vista ready this is how they set it up from factory ? My neighbor who is a programmer ,works mostly with Dell systems I thought could help me troubleshoot my PC .He told me the best thing to do was a fresh re-install of O/S ,now my PC is a mess with many Windows drivers and files missing ,even display options are only 1/2 there ? I want my PC back to the factory settings as I recieved it last August ! I thought I only had Dells Complete Care Warranty 4 year warranty  which only covers hardware failure, however I looked at my order confirmation from Dell and it says I also have 3 year extended warranty !  At this point I would even be willing to pay a fee to get my PC back to factory condition with the VIIV technology ,and Vista ready ,even though I do not plan on switching to Vista any time soon ! My partition drive G ,has 5.22 G.B. of space used after the re-installation ,Iam hoping the Dell restore utility is still in tack ? However I do not get the dell splash screen, or the blue section on my screen at boot up so that Ctrl & F11 will offer me a factory restore ? My ? is whats he size of a WinXP install ,Iam hoping the partition to restore my PC is still hidden in the partition drive G ? Anyone with any recomendations on how I can go about getting my PC back to a factory restore so I can go about reinstalling my apps and have all the coreect drivers and Dell bundled OEM version of the software included would be a dream come true ,instead I have a nightmare of trial and error trying to get a barely one year old PC back up on its feet ,Iam posting this from my 7 year old P3 750MHZ that is a old work horse,and my new Dell sits idle next to it in my home office :-(
