Installing diagnostic utility?

If I formatted my harddrive, how is it possible to install the dell diagnostics utility?

Well the diag is on a different partition so if you format the os partition you will not change the diag partition.

What if i format the diag partition too? is there any way i can install it again?

only if you made a image of it or have someone e-mail you a image of the diag file.

Can I get it through a dell update online or through a dell drivers installation disk?

no and no but you can download the diag to use on a cd when you need to run it from dell.

Is the windows XP hidden recovery partition and the diagnostics partition the same thing?, or is it 2 diff partitions...

small one is the diag and the bigger of the two is the restore.
