I installed my old HP722C printer to my new Dimension 2400 system & printed out some test pages from a website- so it seems to be installed & working correctly. There is a printer icon with my model printer # in Printer and Faxes in Control Panel. But every time I restart the computer I get two messages appearing on the bottom right taskbar, the first saying "New hardware detected" and then a second appears saying "A problem occured when installing hardware, the device might not work properly". Then the "Install New Hardware" box appears on the screen and prompts me to begin installing the device- I just close it. When I first tried to install the printer drivers, I used its software CD, but was prompted to not proceed further because it was not WinXP compatible (the printer was used on a Win95 machine before). I then went to Printers & Faxes in Control Panel, clicked Add Printer, found my make and model and went from there to install- I guess WinXP comes with a HP driver.  Any ideas on what's going on here please?
