I've recently received my newly repaired dell inspiron N5030 laptop laptop from the dell repair depot. They replaced my mother board, and I'm very happy with the results. However, when I purchased this laptop, it came with Microsoft Office Starter preloaded, but this has now vanished completely. I was wondering if there is a way to get it back on my laptop? I need it for work purposes, and can't afford to buy Office.
Any light shed on this matter will be greatly appreciated!

If they replaced your motherboard, then your Office Starter should have been on your HD. However, you cannot download Officer starter, if it has been removed, then you will have no option, but to get another version. Have you tries Libre Office, it's free, or Open Office, that's free also.
Dell might have replaced the hard drive too. First make sure you haven't overlooked the Office install. It is NOT the Office shortcut on the desktop. That's just to sell the full version. Type Starter in the Start Box and see what programs are listed. The only way to reinstall office starter is Factory Image Restore if your hard drive has the hidden restore partition. Try the directions in Step 3 HERE to restore to factory settings. If it works, you'll need to do windows update immediately and install all the critical updates. If this doesn't work, contact Support.
