I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but have a couple questions. First I have a Dell Dimension 8200 w/windows XP and my first question is I bought a couple programs that need to be hooked up through a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port and my computer does not have the 2.0 port. I have no idea why my computer does not have the 2.0 so do I have to go and buy one and if so, what am I looking for? Second question. I have installed GoBack Deluxe on my computer and now I have added another hard drive. Now does GoBack recognize my other drive too along with the drive C or do I have to do something to make it recognize my other drive? I have Drive C and D now and when I installed the GoBack I only had drive C. Thanks.

The USB question would go on the Dimension - General Hardware Forum. Your 8200 has USB 1.1 because USB 2.0 didn't exist when your machine was made. You need to buy a PCI card that has USB 2.0 ports on it, and most likely may have other ports as well. First, you need to confirm that you have room for another card.
RE: GoBack Deluxe, you need to post that question on the Software - Other Software forum, or try GoBack's site and see if this is in their FAQs.
How do I know if I have room to put another card in my PC? The program that I bought that told me I needed the 2.0 USB I installed anyways on what I have and I used it (External DVD/RW) to copy a movie from a VCR (which I have the software for (DVD Xpress) to see what would happen and it seemed to have worked fine. I was able to copy the movie with no problems so so you think I could just keep using it under the USB I have or should I go and buy a PCI card that has the USB 2.0 ports?

You would know you have room by opening the PC and looking inside. Otherwise, you won't know.
If it worked with 1.1, then 2.0 would make it work a lot faster. At peak performance, USB 2.0 is 40 times faster (480 mbits/second vs 12 mbits/second). However, you won't see a 40 times increase in performance.
