    Hi  Utsav

I would suggest you to run Dell Diagnostics on the system to check for hardware failure, to run dell diagnostics, follow the below mentioned steps :

    1. Restart the computer.
    2. As the computer boots, press when the Dell Splash Screen appears.
    3. When the Boot menu appears, highlight the Boot to Utility Partition option, or the Diagnostics option and then press   to start the 32 -bit Dell Diagnostics.

    Please revert with result.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi

    Thanks for reply,

I would suggest you to reset the hard drive; I am providing a link for that.

After that I would suggest you run the Dell diagnostics once again, In case problem still persist, we have to reinstall operating system once again, You can follow below mentioned link:

Thank you prateek but what exactly do you mean by reset your hard drive?? Does it simply mean removing it physically and then just putting it back?? Just for my information how does that help?? And will this solve the issue?? And will i need to  buy a new hard drive?

He means "reseat" (not reset) ... which means to unplug the cables and plug them back in ... all drive cables (power and data) - on both ends (drive end and motherboard/controller end).  This is a common fix for communications issues with devices.  Although it is a good practice to do this, to make sure you don't have a bad connection, you should plan now to fix this by buying a new hard drive.  Your issues fit the symptoms and the fact that your drive failed diagnostics means you have a bad drive and need to replace it.
