At the moment whenever I do "shut down" on my computer it either takes ages (and I mean about 30 minutes) or it doesn't do it at all. This is extremely frustrating. I get a few "program not responding" messages which I always click "end now" however last night I left my computer shutting down and when I returned 6 hours later it was idle on a screen with my only background showing. Any ideas on what is happening?
