Orange Battery Light flashing.

I have a Dell XPS 15 9560. I typically have my AC power cable in. One day I brought my laptop elsewhere, used it while unplugged. Upon charging it, it got stuck at 97% and the orange light started flashing. Now I can't use the laptop without the AC cable plugged in. Did my battery just suddenly die?

Bios is up to date.

I powered down my laptop, took out the battery, took out the AC cable, pressed power button for 8 seconds, put the battery in, put the AC cable in and powered on. For a second the light was white, but now the same issue has occurred.

    @ReggieBobby,

    Yes, this is a bad battery. Please send me a private message including your system's service tag and battery serial number. I'll see what options we have.

    You can check in the BIOS (F2 @ startup) the condition of the battery or use SupportAssist to scan the health of the battery

    It's not good for the battery to continually leave the AC adapter plugged in - you have to unplug it when you're not using it to preserve battery life.

    Per DELL-Justin C instruction, click his name and via Private Message send him the XPS 15-9560 service tag number and battery serial number.
