Formatting my CD-RW's using Sonic doesn't seem possible!
I'm looking for software that will enable me to format my cd-rws so I can use them. Sonic doesn't seem to do that, or at least I can't find it. Further, I'm not going to 'upgrade' as it's just to expensive.
So, if anyone knows where I can get software to format my cd-rws and then copy to them etc., please let me know.
What an oversite Dell had when they 'included' Sonic software and you can't even format a cd-rw.
Even my IBM notebook came with "FREE" software to do all that. Hmmmmmmmm

It formats the disc for drag-and-drop use of the disc like a big
floppy. Look for that as it come standard.

This program was pre-installed. I don't think a cd came with the computer for this program. Hmmmmmmmmm
And for me to pay $99.00 just to ask them how the heaven I get rid of it, is ludicrous! I take this as false advertising.
I won't make the same mistake next year.

- Click the Start button
- Double-click on the My Computer icon
- In the My Computer window, right-click on the CD device then choose Properties
- On the CD Drive Properties screen, click on the DLA tab, then add the checkmark
to Enable DLA on your drives
- Click the OK button, then restart computer
If DLA is not there and you are still under the warranty, you can request the
disc from Dell. Have your Service Tag available.
