I've had this computer since 2016. In all the time I've had it, the lights illuminating from my chassis were blue until the last 12 hours. Now they're green. What does it mean and should I be worried? What is the exact name of those lights and do the Theater-Lighting Batteries control those lights or is this a Top Lighting Board thing? I used to know, but forgot. The owner's manual doesn't show or say much about those lights.
The user's manual won't show anything, because Flash Player was discontinued.
The colors changed on their own @Tesla1856, but after rebooting my machine, they went back to blue. I will check the batteries when I get a chance. Too busy to open up my box for a while. Thank you very much!
The large MIO-Board in Aurora R1-R4 is like a separate/dedicated daughter-board inside that "runs programs" independently (while still communicating with real motherboard). Yes, it can get a little confused sometimes.
Right, doing a full power-cycle will usually reset it. Also, during Windows Startup, it loads the current-default Lighting Theme automatically.

Found a game that made those chassis lights go crazy, and they do have meaning.The CPU must be getting hot, because Civilization VI makes those lights turn from blue to green to red. It works my computer hard! As soon as I quit the game, those lights turn back to blue. The red kind of freaked me out, and I wondered how hot or over-worked my system was getting.
I suppose it's time for a computer that can keep up with these games, but I can't afford to replace this one. Brand new it was over $4,000. I'm sure a similar rig will cost over $6,000 because of inflation and everything rising. UGH

To change the colors, you edit (or load) the lighting-theme in AlienFX (part of Alienware Command Center). It should look like an Alien head, and be running the the Task-Tray.
Sounds like you have an ALX-model. The AA batteries run the clear-leds (so you can see inside or back ports when power is off). However, I have heard of MIO-Board doing strange things if those batteries are low.
