x17 R1, RAID 0 questions

Have an x17 R1 on order, looks like just went into production today.

Wanted two PCIE 4 SSDs, 2 TB each, and the only way to get that configuration was in RAID 0.

Was reluctant, but proceeded, as my only experience with RAID has been RAID 10 (or 5 on older systems) on our main servers and RAID 1 on our fax servers. I thought that the R/W speeds from these SSDs were fast enough, although having a single large drive is a nice option.

Plan on having periodic full system backups to an external HDD as with my other laptops.

Don’t think it would be worth the time to reinstall to factory defaults even if the system can be reconfigured for 2 non-RAID drives. No information on that was in the X17 user or service manuals that I downloaded.

Is the failure rate with current SSDs low enough to mitigate this concern? Have had SSDs on all of my laptops since 2015, no failures yet.

Have those of you with RAID 0 configurations on older AW systems with SSDs been satisfied with durability and speed?
