can single node avamar extend capacity

i heard of only avamar with RAIN arch can extend capacity? is this true? if user deploy a single node at first, can they extend capacity?

You can't expand a single node system. You'd need to build a second, larger system and replicate to it.

if i first buy a single node avamar, then buy a RAIN avamar, and replicate all data from single mode to RAIN avamar, can i rebuild the single node avamar and join it into the RAIN arch?
