Adding cache memory

I did a quick search of the forums and hadn't seen this asked so I apologize if it was... Can you add additional memory to a CX3-10? It currently has 2GB of cache memory. We are getting our SPs swapped out due to some hardware issue and when I was checking the parts dispatch I noticed that each SP has 4 DIMM slots and the RAM that was in there was simple DDR2 ram. It would be nice to have another 2GB or so of cache, but I'm guessing there is a gotcha here. 1. If I added RAM to the SP, would it automatically be recognized or is there some block internally to prevent you from doing so? 2. Would EMC/Dell have a fit if I were to do that? It's not like a total upgrade of the SAN... you still have the slower processors and other limitations... 3. Has anyone else ever done this successfully? Thanks

bpierfy,The Storage Processors in each storage system support a fixed amount of memory - adding or subtracting memory is not supported. Memory per SP (multiply x 2 for the total amount in the storage system) is 1GB on CX3-10, 2GB on CX3-20, 4GB on CX3-40, and 8GB on CX3-80.Regards,DGM
